About the artist

„Reality is not something you can touch, it's more about what you can feel.“

Inga Noir Mrazauskė stands out as an artist with a remarkable talent for uniting elements that might initially appear to be in opposition within her creative process. She places greater importance on the act of creating than on the end result, crafting works in a surrealistic manner that call for both technical finesse and the utmost attention to detail. Although her painting style is unmistakably minimalist, she purposefully weaves in touches of her Baltic roots, allowing ancient artifacts and cultural symbols to subtly emerge in her work.

Inga’s latest collection is profoundly shaped by her interest in the transitional state between waking and sleeping. She investigates the points at which reality and dreams intersect, prompting those who view her art to consider which of these states holds more weight. A prominent motif is the broken red thread, a metaphor representing the line that divides consciousness from the unconscious, and the known from the enigmatic. The inclusion of Baltic relics further acts as a vital link, merging the past of her ancestors with the experiences of today.

By blending symbolism and minimalism, Inga Noir Mrazauskė crafts a unique exchange within her artwork. She invites viewers to experience her visions contemplatively, prompting them to search for meanings concealed beneath the surface. The deliberate arrangement of Baltic motifs and the use of muted color schemes lend an enchanting, introspective quality to her pieces, amplifying their universal yet intimate resonance.

In the end, Inga calls upon viewers of her art to move past appearances and discover the sacred within the overlooked and the ordinary. For her, what is real extends beyond the material and is found through emotion and intuition. “The most important thing is for the individual to be able to find the sacred things that are obvious yet almost forgotten - reality is not something you can touch, it's more about what you can feel,” she explains. Seen through this philosophical lens, Mrazauskė's work becomes an invitation to unearth meaning—both personal and shared—in the world surrounding us.
