Certificate of authenticity
Every painting you buy in our gallery is an original work of art. With every painting we sell you receive a certificate of authenticity, which guarantees that you are buying a work by that specific artist.
Please note that buying a painting does not transfer its copyright — you do not acquire the right to use the artwork commercially, for example to copy it or produce reproductions.
30-day return guarantee
Our main goal is to help you find the one artwork that truly fits and delights you — it is an object that will decorate your home for a long time and will eventually be passed on to future generations.
Although by law works of art cannot be returned (the seller's consent is required), don't worry — if you have doubts within 30 days of the purchase date, contact us: we will take the work back and refund your money, or offer you to choose another one from our art platform!
Delivery
Delivery time: 10–14 business days. Every artwork ships insured by courier (FedEx/DHL) with a tracking number. Originals are one-off pieces and are packed with particular care. If you need the piece sooner, contact us — we can usually find a solution. For deliveries outside the EU, import duties may apply; these are borne by the recipient.
Returns
As a consumer you have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal from the day you receive the goods — no reasons needed. Details and the model withdrawal form are in our withdrawal notice (linked in the footer). Beyond that, as a courtesy we accept returns up to 30 days after receipt — an artwork should truly delight you. Contact us and we will find a solution.
Artwork in the room
Nijolė Dirvianskytė is one of the most prominent representatives of Lithuanian naïve art. She began painting at the age of thirty-six. By that time, she was already a professional chemist and scientist, had earned an academic degree, and was successfully working in a laboratory.
Nijolė Dirvianskytė’s name is well known among Lithuanian folk artists and art enthusiasts. She frequently participates in exhibitions and plein-air painting events and has been a laureate of the Adomas Varnas Painting Competition. She has been granted the status of an artist and has been mentioned numerous times in introductory articles in periodicals and exhibition catalogues, as well as in books. Her works have been exhibited at prestigious folk-art exhibitions in the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania (2004), at the 40th-anniversary exhibition of the Lithuanian Folk Artists’ Union (2006), at the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania in Moscow, in the Jurgis Baltrušaitis House (2007), and elsewhere. Her work reflects the entire environment surrounding her—the city and the countryside, work and leisure, family and flowers, Siberia and Lithuania, impressions from her travels, and, above all, nature and the peace and harmony it provides in summer and winter. Some of her most beautiful works are devoted to blooming and the blessings of nature.
Nijolė Dirvianskytė was born on November 1, 1944, in the village of Sakučiai, in an unknown homestead abandoned by the Germans near the Nemunas River, on the way to Germany, where her parents were fleeing from Skuodas to escape the return of the Soviet army and deportation beyond the Arctic Circle. “Those who assisted at my birth were my father, an economist; my uncle Adomas, a lawyer; and his wife, my mother’s sister Monika, an artist,” the folk artist recalls in her biography.
